Kimiko Miller, MA is the primary woman’s therapist at Balboa Horizons, an alcohol and drug program in Newport Beach, CA. While at Balboa she has created a program called “141,” a team that is dedicated to service and giving back to their community by connecting with women who are new to treatment. Kimiko thrives on helping woman begin to see their potential within treatment and the gift recovery.
Kimiko has always had a passion for the younger generation and has been a mentor to college and high school kids for over 15 years, walking alongside individuals and guiding them to find their passions and dreams. Believing in pursuing her own artistic expression and entrepreneurial spirit she opened a vintage clothing store at 20 years old, was an interior decorator, created a designer scrubs clothing line, and managed her own dance company “Freedom dancers” choreographing and dancing in major productions. Currently, she is producing a new line of recovery inspired clothing and swimwear called “Free’d Soul by Kimiko.”
Kimiko brings much passion, creativity, expertise in the area of recovery, entrepreneurial vision, and believes very deeply in the therapeutic nature of Rock to Recovery and future events that can enhance the sober community.
Kimiko’s hope is that,
through the integration of recovery and the arts people can become freed from the chains that bind them. For music heals the soul.
