Rock to Recovery aims to provide a full range of services to help addicted individuals, their families, colleagues and friends to arrest the disease of addiction, allowing everyone to go forward fulfilling their lives free from the worry and problems that addiction creates. A Sober Companion provides the time-intensive, tailored services that some individuals need in order to treat their addiction and move forward into a new life of recovery.
The type of professionals that can offer these highly tailored services are generally called Sober Companions or Sober Coaches. Rock to Recovery’s Sober Companions are appropriately licensed in the addiction industry and usually have many years of personal recovery.
Sober Escort Services
Intervention to Treatment
Rock to Recovery insists that all our clients be escorted into treatment following an intervention. Our interventionists are always available for this service, and sometimes a family member elects to accompany their loved one along with the interventionist or escort the client on their own. If additional assistance is needed, for whatever reason, Rock to Recovery is available to provide a sober companion escort.
Between treatment programs
If your loved one needs to transition between treatment centers or to another level of care Rock to Recover Sober Companions can provide a qualified escort between care providers. The transition between structured environments can be very traumatic for someone on the early road to recovery and we can help them make that transition as safely and seamless as possible.
Back Home from Treatment
Once primary or even a secondary term of treatment has been completed your loved one faced the arduous task of returning home to what may seem to be a foreign environment when looked at through the eyes of early recovery. Their treatment program will do their best to prepare them for this day and Rock to Recovery can provide a sober companion that can escort the client home and stay as long as you like to help get them acclimated to their new life of recovery.
Sober Companion Services
The need for a Sober Companion extends well beyond escorting a person to and from addiction treatment. Some people need the extra services of a Sober Companion to help them acclimate to life in recovery after treatment. Addiction treatment is a highly structured environment and some need help incorporating the tools they learned in treatment into their daily lives. A Sober Companion from Rock to Recovery can help ease this transition. The services offered by a Sober Companion are as varied as the people who need their help:
Helping to locate and attend first local 12 Step Meetings
Reintroduction to the family post-discharge (back to family meeting)
Resuming work/career (back to work meeting)
Supporting the client during the uneasy first few days
Assisting with finding local service providers for continuing care
